Saybrook Point - Old Saybrook, C.T
This was taken this morning at around 5:30 - 6:00 am EST as the first wave of thunderstorms moved through this morning. This is probably one of my favorite shots of this year. For anyone that knows a thing or two about color, Purple and Orange are opposing colors on the color spectrum; so to see this in nature without any interference from man is nothing short of awe-inspiring and I can imagine quite rare! (Pretense is another word for color, so that's why I chose to use it for my title!)
EDIT: I have kept the framing simple. I decided to go with a Black frame offset with the highlight color from the lightning, with a 2px white dropped shadow offset. Click Twice for FULL VIEW! I am all packed up and ready just waiting for round two of these thunderstorms to move on through. Also the strong possibility of some severe weather tonight on through Thursday evening, so I am quite excited! Hope you all enjoy!

This is an awesome shot and I really love the color composition of this orange and blue. You are very good at catching lightnings!
